span lang="EN-US">A rarity by the Bonn genius Beethoven is on the programme: his Choral Fantasy. This piece will be performed by the great pianist Sergei Babayan with Vasily Petrenko and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London - and of course the Zurich Sing-Akademie.

The programme also includes Beethoven's 5th Symphony and what is undoubtedly his most rarely performed concerto, the Triple Concerto in C major. It offers opportunities for dialogue between soloists and orchestra that are otherwise only found in masterpieces of chamber music. Especially when the triple partners not only shine themselves, but - as here Sergei Babayan, Daniel Lozakovich and Edgar Moreau - skilfully stage each other.
